Restoration
Dominikaner-Kirche Eppan
The church is a neo-Romanesque building with round-arched windows, which - after a bomb attack in 1988 - received new stained glass windows. Three windows were executed with carpet patterns while the other five windows showed figurative representations. In any case, the figurative windows were realised in 1991 by Anzolo Fuga, but it is not known whether he was also responsible for the carpet windows.
The windows were massively damaged due to countless stones being thrown. In the course of restoring the windows, it was decided to restore the three windows with carpet patterns. The figure windows, on the other hand, were replaced with new ones (see here).
All windows are now protected by an external grille.
