Restoration
Pfarrkirche Wiesen
Most of the windows, which are made of pressed crown glass, were severely deformed, possibly due to heat accumulation caused by the "protective glazing" that was strangely mounted on the inside.
This inner layer, which probably did more harm than good, was removed and the leaded glass thoroughly restored.
In addition, there is one stained glass window from the Renaissance in the church, which was originally exposed to the weather on the outside. The Renaissance pane was restored by Werner Kofler. For better conservation, this valuable pane was then moved forward into the interior and a laminated safety glass (colourless restoration glass and float glass) was applied on the outside.
In the apse area there are three windows with ornamental and floral painting. Only a part of these panes had to be removed for restoration.
